Compared to the city of Durban to its south and Umhlanga to its north, La Lucia offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful beaches. People choose to live in La Lucia for the peace and quiet, and visitors choose to go there for the same reason.

When the sardines arrive near Durban, they take on a whole new dimension. Spot sharks, dolphins and whales from the air or just get a new perspective on this beautiful coastal region.
Another perspective on the Indian Ocean can be found under the waves. Scuba diving is one of the most popular water sports in the world, and after trying it for yourself you’ll see why. Diving courses and outings can be easily arranged in the area, as can boat tours and deep-sea fishing.
