About
Positioned on 27 hectares of landscaped gardens and natural bushveld, Mokoya is an oasis of adventures and nature activities, with several mountain-biking trails waiting to be explored. For the long-distance rider, the epic Two Provinces circuit of about 82 kilometres is perfect and a brilliant endurance preparation for any MTB Classic.
Turn left as you exit Mokoya and left again at the first T-junction. At the T-junction with the T4 dirt road, go right, crossing into North West Province. This road ends up in the Remhoogte area, looping back to the R560. Cross the Magalies River, then turn left onto the R560. Just before the tar road takes a sharp turn into Skeerpoort, turn right onto the Hartbeeshoek dirt road and climb up a short pass over the mountains.
At the T-junction, turn right onto a quiet tar road (D400) and ride back into Gauteng past Segwati Ranch and the CSIR Hartbeeshoek Satellite Tracking Station. At the T-junction with the R563 to Krugersdorp/Hekpoort, turn left and then immediately right onto the next dirt road. Ride past Maropeng and, after seven kilometres, turn right at the Magaliesburg sign. From here it’s a lovely roller-coaster ride into the village. Head out along the R24, but look out for the T1 to your right. Take the T1 until you hook up with the R563, turn left and then right onto the R560 after three kilometres. Take the D401 just outside Hekpoort before immediately turning right onto the D1676 and back to Mokoya.
