I have an embarrassing confession... I call myself a real hiker, and have spent many a night under a variety of cover options, with varying degrees of waterproofing and correlated occupant happiness. I have navigated in mist with a compass and a prayer, and I know all about "Uhm where did this road come from?" However, I have never done a hike in the Western Cape.  *Gasp*!!!
